Sometimes following the Church calendar means encountering some goofy calendar mishaps, such as this year when the 4th Sunday of Advent also happens to fall on the same Sunday as Christmas Eve. Yet, we still desire to gather and make room for lighting the fourth Advent candle together as a community, because it is one that marks the peace of Christ among us. The holiday season is usually a busy one... from Christmas parties, purchasing gifts, wrapping up work projects, traveling, and time with family. And we also recognize that for some it can be a time that is also lonely or painful, because it is a reminder of fracture or hurt in relationships. So we are hoping amidst the hustle and bustle of the season, we can provide a moment to gather as a community for a quiet pause and lighting of the fourth Advent candle. We invite you to join the Bloom staff Saturday evening, December 23rd, at 5:00 PM for some quiet reflection, prayer, Advent worship, and the lighting of the peace candle. We hope this will serve as a brief, quiet pause in your Advent season, to prepare your heart and mind for the coming of the Lord on Christmas Eve. Join us if you are able.
